Interactive Timeline - Hstry
HSTRY is much more than a web tool for creating multimedia timelines in class. Yes, it was developed to create timelines, and you can add text, video and images. However, it also offers a multitude of features that allow you to create project assignments, embed quizzes and questions (multiple choice, matching, drag and drop). You can also add discussion questions (Aka, "Did you know?)"
You can share timelines with your classes and/or have the students create their own in response to an assignment.
Hstry is definitely not just for Timelines and Social Studies classes. I teach science and engineering, and often use HSTRY to provide project instructions (https://www.hstry.co/timelines/human-body-systems-project), and even to share (https://www.hstry.co/timelines/rainforest-interaction) student work
